In Thailand

Well I've finally made it! Its Sunday around 4 pm here and I'm sitting in an internet cafe paying about 5 cents for 20 minutes. We traveled for about 30 hours and were pretty gross before we finally landed. I'm staying at the Suan Doi House. Itys a hotel but its outdoors sort of. There are plants and flowers everywhere and you cannot really tell where is inside and where is outside.

We had an orientation today and saw the school and market. I really liked the market because it has a large selection of things and its cheap. We had to buy a tradtional Thai outfit for a dinner tomorrow night and the whole thing cost me about 7 dollars. If I want I can do a beauty pageant here too. You get dressed up in a Thai outfit and say what you like most about Thailand and you're basically guaranteed 3rd place. Go figure.

Language classes start on Tuesday and personally I am very nervous becaus it is so hard to pronounce and hear the differences of tone. Hopefully when I move in with a family it will be one that speaks English.

Theres lots of rice to eat and spicy food. Last night we tried some clear noodles and mouths were permanently scared. They serve hotdogs with breakfast and the coffee is like the way Julie makes it but stronger (julie you should come here).
