A Daunting Question

Well sorry I haven't posted in a few days. The internet at school is exceedingly slow so I can't post a blog until I find time to go to the internet cafe. So at school I got asked to be a nude model for a drawing class. A girl came up to me and britti and was asking me a question which sounded like she wanted money. In frustration Britti grabbed her hand and brought her to one of our teachers and it ended in a slightly embarassed girl and us all laughing. That was the first time anyone had ever asked me that.

We were taken to a tourist Thai restaurant where you take off your shoes and sit on the floor. So in our country we check in our coats at the door, here you check in your shoes. It was very cool to say the least. Some of our Thai friends helped us buy traditional Thai outfits which were about $7.00 and came tyo the hotel to help us with our hair. Then we all went together and got to eat while sitting on the floor and then watched Thai dances. I absolutely loved it.

Thai class started a few days ago. Its hard. I'm going to review some tonight but by the end of the day you're brain hurts trying to remember vocab and voice inflection so you really don't feel like studying anymore. I tried to tell and lady that me and Laura were friends and even though I had the correct words and verb usage my pronunciation was wrong so she didn't understand one thing I said. I'm working on it.

I got a two hour massage yesterday. Let me just say it was wicked awesome. I'm probably going to go once a month for kicks because I loved it so much. Its 300 baht or about 6 dollars. I keep buying pizza because I already miss it. Two things they don't serve much at all here are bread and cheese. I love both so I feel the loss pretty intensely.

I got to visit the Buddhist university where the monks study. Some students will teach English there and participate in a sociology class. I might do that internship but I also have the opportunity to possibly be a lawyer's assistant for IJM. I'm not sure what I'm doing yet but hopefully I'll know soon.
