Nicknames
Teaching went really well for the first classes. I enjoyed it and had some interesting experiences. For the first class, I wanted to get an idea of student's names. I have almost 100 students so it will take some time but I asked them to make nametags and choose an English name they liked or give their Thai nickname. One student chose the nickname "Pandora." He is a freshman and a little quirky. WIth his name tag he drew a little devil like figure and I still haven't figured out if he is the box or the thing that comes out of the box....
Some other nicknames that were chosen were Arm, Gift, Cherry, Ice, Barell, Knight, Nut, Timmy, Tent, Bowling, Kid, Prince, Drink, Go, Music, Top, etc.
So please feel free to choose a nickname of anyone or anything you like and I'll be happy to call you by it as well. (For the family, we can all call each other my our new nicknames. For example, Uncle Brad could be called "Kite" and Barry could be called "Car.") I think I'll go with an English translation of my Thai nickname....
Just call me "Bright Sky"
PS. I'm totally just kidding....
