My New Home
Hey everyone!
So my new host home is wonderful and my family reminds me alot of my family back home. They like to have fun and have parties. I have a huge room with a porch and my host parents drive a mercede-benz. we have 2 maids and two gardeners and there is a man who cleans the cars every morning. Its alot different from home to say the least. (Dad you can clean my car if you want :) )
We had our first Thai exam yesterday. It was oral speaking so I don't know how I did yet. Its hard to practice my Thai because my family wants me to speak English and we speak English at both my internships.
We had a graduation party at my host family's house which was interesting. They introduced me to their staff and well it was a story I will tell another time.
I have class now everyday from 8:30-10:00 and from 10:30-12:00 then lunch for an hour and my intership from 1:00-5:00. Then I go to my host home and we have dinner at 6:30 and I do some homework around 7:30 but then they send me to my room at 8:00. So I usually do some homework and go to bed by 9:00-9:30.
Brittany's family owns a hotel and her host father also manages the #1 hotel in Asia soon to be declared the #1 hotle in the world coming this March. We get to stay there for a night and possibly intern there over spring break. Things are still up in the air but this mn is an amazing business man and it'd be really awesome to talk with him and get some advice.
These first three weeks have been wonderful but I do miss home a little now. Its officially the longest time I've been away besides college. So keep in touch.
love
Amy
