Size is not matter

Once again, I was struch by the incorrect English used for signs, t-shirts, etc and was reminded of an extremely little red car (like a smart car) I saw at CMU with a bumper sticker that said "Size is not matter." I hate to say it but I took a picture and cannot find on it my file...I have no idea where it is. If I find it, I'll definately post it.

As for teaching, it really is improving with each week. The first week was never a bad experience, but I can see the development of each classroom atmosphere and I am unerstanding my individual students levels and needs better as well. This has helped me to teach the lessons from the text in different ways in order to best meet the needs of my students.

Also, I will begin observation classes at AUA (American Univerity language center) and will be teaching there Saturdays. When I went to visit Friday after my CMU courses, I could hear the students screaming, yelling, and cheering each other on....they were playing games to learn English. The classes are much smaller about 11-15 (CMU has 36 students/class) and the students are all on the same level which is wonderful. I am really excited to teach there.

As for my Fulbright proposal, I honestly can't say that I'll get it but at least everything is going smoothly. I got my project approved by CMU, I found an advisor to work with me if I get the scholarship, and I will get an official letter of approval soon to send with my application. Even if I don't get the scholarship, I am very pleased that the process has been going so well.
