Miss Flower Blooms

So tonight is the night that I am in the Miss Flower Blooms contest. My host family is coming to watch and in all honesty I feel a little ridiculous. But I figured that it would be something to laugh about or to laugh while doing. Instead of going to my internship today me and the other girls will be going to a hotel around 2 and getting our hair and maek-up done and also we will be given costumes to wear. Then we eat dinner and go to the show which starts at 7 and we are done by 10:30.

Yesterday we watched presentations by the monks on the meanisngs of poems they ahd to analyze. It was a little silly because their English levels vary but in general these poems were beyond their english skills to even read and understand the voczabulry yet they were required to analyze them as well which most American teens cannot do. It was interesting...

Some different things that they do here is for breakfast most Thai families eat left overs from the night before. But my family spoils me and gives me croissants, cookies, fruit, pastries, and hot soy milk with sugar every morning. My hosts siblings usually eat sticky rice with left over meat. However today we had friend chicken.

The best stuff in the whole world is mango sticky rice. Its sweet sticky rice (which for all o you who don't know what sticky rice is maybe I will leanr to make it and make some for you when I come home. its good) with coconut syrup/suace stuff and frech cut mango on top. My host dad told me it would make me slimmer if I keep eating it. That reminded me of something my dad would say.....

Well thats all for now. Key points beauty pageants are stupid and mago sticky rice rocks.
