My Running Debut
Well I've got a system of eating pastries in the morning, lunch, ice coffee or iced ovaltine, then I get picked up and my host mom brings me patries, cookies, and soda. Then, we have a big dinner and desert. SO basically now that I am consuming food designed for sumo wrestlers I decided to start running. However, I am a dancer not a runner like my many cousins so I started slow. I went at night and ended up only running for 6 and a half minutes. Pathetic I know but it was dark and there are dogs in the neighborhood which I am afraid will bite me when I run by. I also had just eaten dinner and my stomach cramped up which was the weirdest feeling I've ever had in my life.

Hey Amy, you gotta start somewhere! Remember, it's okay to take walking breaks between the running parts until you get stronger. By the time you get back, you can do the Cape Cod Marathon!
