My week

So some of you may have heard about this past weekend already but if not here it is. We went to a forest temple last saturday until sunday. We studied some basic meditation and gave alms to the monks there then ate the extra food for breakfast on sunday. Saturday we did a small tmeple tour and went in this super amazing cave which is gianormous( is that how you spell that??) and it was really awesome. On sunday after church and breakfast some students went in a suna and my friend and I hung out with the monks. Then we went to a waterfall.

At the waterfall something very unfortunate happened. A boy fell from an area he was not supposed to be at and fell about 20ft onto solid rock. He was unconscious and had to be carried down and rushed to the hospital. He only brok one rib but had serious head trauma so they had to do brain surgery that night and he'll be in the hospital for about one month or so. If you could keep him in your prayers that would be great.

So some good news too. I have written 30 pages of my paper and even though I have the two major sections left, I am making good progress. I have eight interviews and transcript completed and I have been studying Thai as well.

My friend Christina and I went looking for apartments today for the month of May and June. We might be taking a class together to get certified in TESL. I'd really love to do that so if ever I want to teach English abroad I can.

Tonight i am suppose to be hanging out with my host family until tomorrow which is always an adventure in itself.

Last night myself and some students went up Doi Suthep (google it) with a monk who gave us a tour. It was really great because there weren't many people and we watched the sunset together. I spent some time with my Thai friends last night and am now just bascially teaching, finishing my paper, and planning some options for later in the semester.
