Malibu!!

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for the delay in posting for my newest adventure...it has been pretty busy since its law school and all but since I won't get to see most of you until Christmas I figured I should post.



School is going really well. I love what I am studying and my roommate are pretty much awesome. We see a lot of celebrities like Pierce Brosnan or Dick Van Dyke, and Pamela Anderson uses our track in the mornings sometimes....weird.

My story for today is from way back when, when we first arrived and my dad blew off Justin Long. (For those of you who don't know, he's dating Drew Barrymore and in the new movie, Going the Distance).

So we were driving up a secluded road to get a good photo of the Hollywood sign. We had been driving for a while so my parents gave up actually trying to climb up to the sign, instead they decided to stop when we got a decent view and then would snap a shot.

Well after driving for what seemed liked hours, we finally found a perfect view of the sign. My dad stops the car, rolls, down his window, and whips out a camera. As he's doing this, two men are approaching the car, walking dogs. I look up and whoa and behold-JUSTIN LONG! Of course my first sighting would be a star I adore....

So to play to play it cool like a true unmovable New Englander, I just sit in the back and ignore him. I don't say anything to my dad or my mom. Dad adjusts his camera, then sees the two guys approaching so he smiles and says "Shameless Tourist." Well Justin thought my dad was talking to him and that my dad was going to take a photo of him. So he laughs and says its fine then starts coming over. Well my dad completely ignores him and focuses on taking his shot of the sign. Justin looks confused at first, then he laughs and points at the sign saying "Oh, you meant the sign!" and walks off.

Immediately after all I could say was "Didn't you know who that was??" Of course I wouldn't tell them while he was there because I had to save my pride. All I could think afterwards was "My Dad just blew off Justin Long...crazy."
