Tiger Zoo

One day someone woke up and thought "Tigers lived in Chiang Mai once. I'll build a zoo of tigers where tourists pay too much to go in a tiger cage WITH a tiger for too short a time." And that person did.

We went to the Tiger Zoo. At first, I thought it was a zoo with an attraction of going in tiger cages and petting tigers. But actually it is only a zoo with tigers and tiger cages to go into and pet them. I went with some teachers and we got lunch at a very yummy buffet with french fries and pasta (miss it alot...). Then, they paid about 2 days of spending money in my budget to sit with a tiger for 15 minutes.

So my friends went in the cage, played with the "small" tigers for 15 minutes and I took photos. Overall it was pretty neat.

I found out later that I wasn't supposed to go into the park without a ticket and if I did I would be fined 500 baht. The funny thing was I asked my friends if I could go in and failed to notice the sign in English in front of the entrance gate. Usually these things happen because I can't read Thai.....oh well.
