Vacation...again

This week is mid-term week at CMU and I don't have to proctor any exams. Therefore, I have yet another vacation....unpaid. CMU is a good place to work, however, what happens each month is that there are so many holidays that one never gets one's full paycheck. So I'll be living simply this vacation.

Some good news is that I'll be going to the Chiang Mai Chedi this week since I have all this free time. I do have to teach 1-4pm on Saturday (I'll go Friday, Saturday, Sunday) but it won't be so bad. I'm excited to have a free trip.

My first AUA class went really well. Even though its 3 hours, the students were active and participative. They also played all the games I had with LOTS of energy. So much so that they broke 8 white oard markers for one game when they had to race to the board and write an answer or a question to the statement I made. It was a good time.

Last night I went to a Saturday market which I had never visited before. All I wanted to find was something to make tea with but the market didn't have any. So to make myself feel better, my friend and I ate WAY too much and walked home to burn some extra calories. It was a good night.
