Mr. metallic speedo man...and the pool boys...and the breakfast place

So a ton happened over break but internet was too stinking expensive for me to take time to post. So let the stories begin.

First, Mr. Metallic speedo man. So this man looked about 70 or so years old. We saw him every morning and he had tanned leathery skin. His hand was white naturally but had this weird faded yellow color to it like someone put yellow chalk in his hand. It wasn't blonde, it was definately yellow. He wore a metallic speedo, silvery blue, that had bikini sides.

Every morning we went to this awesome breakfast place on the beach. After we ordered our banana pancakes, he would show up sit down alone and give us the eye or stare into space or something. I never heard him say anything for 10 days. So I was wondering, what was his story....

Maybe he was a surfer who retired and never really began to take life seriously, maybe his wife left him when he bought that ugly speedo, maybe he went to Koh Chang on vacation fell in love with it, and never left. Who knows. Maybe you could leave a comment about what you think his life story is. Try it.

Next we have the pool boys. It was funny because we stayed at the same place for 10 days. We goofed off alot and we the odd college group out since it was a family place or honey mooners place. Basically every day the pool boys just laughed at us. They laughed when we goofed off in the pool, they laughed when we ordered dinner, they laughed when I would go and get a clean towel. So they thought we were hilarious 100% of the time. I was glad to bring a little laughter into their lives even though up to this point I had no idea what they were laughing about.

Finally we had the breakfast place. So each of us ar ehomesick for our real families and host families so we tried to become part of the Thai familie son the island. This restaurant was family-owned on the beach. By the end of the week the kids had invited us to go swimming with them and then we were invited for my favorite thing...kahnom (snack). We were invited to make snacks with them. It was so awesome and I got my dose of family atmosphere. It was wicked sweet.

Well this blog is long but I will now post a separate one so you don't have to read it all in one sitting.
